Maintaining Our Peaceful Retreat

Behind the scenes, March has been a month of care and maintenance to ensure A Deer Cottage continues to offer a high standard of boutique bed and breakfast accommodation in North Auckland.

Our outdoor bath area has been refreshed with a new coat of paint, ready for guests to enjoy a relaxing soak surrounded by nature — a favourite feature for those seeking a true rest and relaxation experience.

The gardens have also kept us busy. With warm temperatures and regular rain, growth has been rapid, and keeping everything tidy and welcoming has been a rewarding (and ongoing!) task.

This attention to detail is something we value deeply, as it helps create the peaceful, restorative environment our Guests appreciate.

Relax and Unwind – Massage Experiences at A Deer Cottage

As part of creating a truly restful experience for our Guests, we also have a cute little massage room tucked beside our swimming pool, spa pool, and outdoor shower — a peaceful space designed for complete relaxation.

We are fortunate to work with a wonderful local Massage Therapist, Nadia, who travels out to A Deer Cottage and offers a range of treatments for Guests to enjoy during their stay. Options include soothing Swedish massage, gentle Reiki, and lymphatic drainage massage — all designed to help you unwind, restore, and fully embrace your time away.

We also include Nadia’s leaflet with pricing and treatment details as part of each Guest Reservation, so you can plan ahead and look forward to a little extra relaxation during your visit.
